But I updated my Vista laptop to Windows 7. Just took a few hours for the upgrade to run.
Thought it was somewhat annoying when it warned me that I may have some incompatible programs and to uninstall and then reinstall later. That was even though they were games and were not even installed so they did not exist in the program list.
Anyways, upgrade went fine and my first impression is, “Oh Win7 how I like thee… more than Vista and even XP.”
I bought the family pack so find some friends and spread the cost out. Will let you know if I end up throwing my laptop out the window (da da dun)…

i did the same, using Professional here at work
went from XP to vista and hated it, but had to for networking here at work.
now to 7 and I must say life is good
