For all you marketing folks, let’s take a look at what not to do. Don’t spoof a major brand with something that is so negative that Jesse Jackson wouldn’t even defend it (will that get me in trouble? No, because noone reads this.)
Anyways, a Norwegian paper ran a spoof ad to promote fictional articles about a rapist. Okay, so the topic is in poor taste unless it is to get into the psychology and even the ad is intriguing… but just a bad idea to spoof so closely such a heavily attorneyed brand.
