Inside the informational pods at Deichmanske Bibliotek, you are presented with a touch screen interface to locate material throughout the library.
Using spider web mapping, you can explore the library and locate movies, books, periodicals, etc. The 3D interface zooms you into each section where you are then show a detailed web of the category you chose.
Some of the first things you will see when you enter the Deichmanske Bibliotek are the information pods.
The futuristic style was cool combining organic shapes with changing LED lighting.
Did something I haven’t done in a long time – a long time. Went to the library.
This is the Dechmanske Bibliotek in Oslo which has been around since 1785. Wow, that’s old!
Although old, they keep up to date with pretty cool technology.
I found myself at McDonald’s again.
They serve chicken wings here and something called the El Maco Fiesta. Surprised to find this in Norway since I would think it would do well in the U.S.
Anyways, it consists of burger similar to the Whopper but with a salsa type sauce. The best part was the fries. You get your standard fries, a bag and a pack of seasoning. Hopefully you can figure out the rest.
While visiting a local sporting goods store I saw these tiny steering wheels.
Curiosity got the best of me and I had to check them out. I had a nice chuckle because they are for sleds.
They have sophisticated sled tech in Norway.
I drive through this tunnel every time I drive into the city so just thought I’d share.
We don’t have tunnels like this in the midwest since, well, there are no mountains.
Not really sugar coating but what a delicious thought!
The varying temperature layers are creating a freezing mist that is making for a pretty cool effect.
Just caught a feature on a new rice called Aghani Bora which was developed in India.
For industrialized nations, there is “instant” rice that you can cook in the microwave but for most, we like the cooked rice that takes about 30-45 minutes to cook. What do you do if you don’t have a means to cook?
That is where Aghani Bora comes in. The rice just takes 45 minutes to “cook” in room temperature water or just 15 minutes in look warm water. Cool.

Stopped by a local McDonald’s and got a McFeast hamburger. Has lettuce, onion, tomato and some kind of mayonaise.
The sandwich with fries and a drink totaled 80 NOK which at the exchange rate of the day was about $14.
The dollar is so devaluated globally and should really be more around 9~10:1 NOK:USD like it was in the early 2000’s.
To be a true roadster, does the are need to be a convertable?
Well if it does, than the Lego car definitely qualifies. With a quick flick, the top drops down in the trunk.
