Yes, they sell whale in Bergen, Norway at the pier. I really want to taste whale but, if I don’t like it then it would have been a big waste. I think the next time I am in Bergen I will though.
I know there is reservation about eating whale. I did some research and found that most likely the whale sold here is Minke whale. Like Japan, whaling has deep rooted history in Norway.

Japan and Norway are the main whaling nations of today. In both Norway and Japan whale meat is available for human consumption. These countries are taking a number of Minke whales – a species previously not whaled because it was too small and fast. Minkes are currently very abundant and the whaling nations argue that their large numbers show that they can be harvested.
