I found a cool out of the way wiener and hot dog stand. They had everything from reindeer to moose to traditional hot dogs and wieners.
I went with the reindeer and it was pretty good. Not really gamy tasting like I associate with venison.

A few weeks back I was in Bergen. The next few posts is to gt caught up in those photos so just in case people are still viewing this that there is something new.
Trolls are pretty common in old Norwegian stories. I have yet to hear one but you can see the importance of trolls – at lease in the tourist trap areas.
This one I guess is a cute girl version. Aside from the fact it is a troll, I am really impressed with the expression and the skill that all the trolls are made. This one hasn’t been petrified.
Came across this monkey that someone placed under a shrub. This could make a nice cover for a sad toy story. Have a nice close up I’ll post later.
While attending a wedding in Bergen, Norway… the wedding couple was taking an old Opel to their wedding. Cool.

Hey! Who’s driving my car?
The city center was crowded! Sort of reminded me of Chicago at quiting time – but with even more people.
My first 17.mai in Norway. A lot of hotdogs, brus and bands.
All the nearby schools parade through the city center and then up to the palace and in front of the royal family.
There are not so many famous people in Norway but every once in a while you do come across a few. About this time of year is the big Eurovision Song Contest which was won by a Norwegian last year which means, the contest is being held in Norway this year.
Norway’s entrance this year is Didrik Solli-Tangen. So, being 17 May, Norway’s Independence Day, we took a break at roof-top restaurant. A few minutes later I saw a guy followed by a camera walk in.
I wasn’t sure who it was at first but was able to put one and one together. I didn’t see anyone else ask for his photo though but I think that is just due to the Norwegian passive tendency. I did however.
